Landbot Website Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to content published on the domain “landbot.io”, managed by Hello Umi SL DBA Landbot. It does not apply to content included of the subdomain “app.landbot.io”, as it has their own specific accessibility statement.

Our Commitment

At Landbot, we are committed to ensuring that our digital services meet the principles of accessibility as defined by WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and the requirements of the EU Accessibility Act.

While resource constraints currently limit the pace of accessibility improvements, we are committed to continuous progress. We have implemented a strategy for ongoing enhancements and are actively working towards a more accessible website.

Compliance status

When using our website, you should be able to:

  • Zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Navigate most interactive elements using a keyboard, although a few components may not respond intuitively to keyboard focus.
  • Use modern assistive technologies like screen readers to understand the majority of the content, although some elements may miss clarity.
  • Read most text with sufficient contrast, although certain sections may have lower contrast that affects readability for users with visual impairments.
  • Watch video content with autogenerated captions, although these may not always be fully accurate or properly synchronized.

Known Limitations

Our most recent audit has identified several areas where accessibility improvements are required:

1. Homepage (https://landbot.io/)

  • Visitors zooming in or relying on keyboard navigation may find that some buttons and links blend too closely with the background, making them hard to distinguish.
  • The structure of the page does not always clearly guide someone tabbing through content, which can feel a bit disorienting.

2. Knowledge Center (https://landbot.io/knowledge-center)

  • While browsing articles and guides, screen-reader users may notice that certain icons and images lack descriptive labels, so it is not always obvious what they represent.
  • Headings sometimes jump levels or are not nested in a clear order, which can interrupt the flow when hearing content read aloud.

3. Landbot Academy (https://landbot.io/academy)

  • Those with low vision might struggle with text set against lighter backgrounds.
  • Some non‑text elements, like decorative graphics, are not announced by assistive tools, making it harder to grasp the full context.
  • The videos currently rely on automatically generated subtitles, which may contain inaccuracies or timing issues, making them less reliable for users who depend on captions for comprehension.

4. Landbot Experts (https://landbot.io/experts)

  • Some non‑text elements, like decorative graphics, are not announced by assistive tools, making it harder to grasp the full context.
  • Some icons that represent messaging channels (like WhatsApp or Messenger) are purely visual and are not announced by screen readers, so users relying on assistive technology might not understand which platforms the expert supports.

5. Landbot Blog (https://landbot.io/blog)

  • On various blog posts, images occasionally appear without alternative text, so their meaning may not come through for users who rely on screen readers.
  • The videos currently rely on automatically generated subtitles, which may contain inaccuracies or timing issues, making them less reliable for users who depend on captions for comprehension.

6. Pricing Page (https://landbot.io/pricing)

  • The table displaying different plans sometimes uses text colors too close in shade to the table background, which can be challenging for anyone with reduced contrast sensitivity.
  • Periodicity selector does not have clear labels announced by assistive technologies, adding extra effort to understand the selected option.

8. Developer Documentation (https://dev.landbot.io/)

  • Across these technical sections, small text labels and navigation links sometimes fall below recommended contrast thresholds.
  • Couple of interactive elements have limited focus styling, which can make it harder to know where you are when tabbing through the page.

7. Landbot Library (https://landbot.io/library)

  • In the collection of templates and resources, the heading structure does not always follow a logical sequence.
  • A few graphics lack descriptive text, making navigation and comprehension less intuitive for screen‑reader users.

8. Landbot Community (https://community.landbot.io/)

  • Welcome video rely on automatically generated subtitles, which may contain inaccuracies or timing issues.
  • Additionally, some of the call‑to‑action buttons, particularly those using purple tones, do not offer enough contrast against their background, which can make them harder to read or identify for users with limited vision.
  • As this section is hosted on a third‑party platform (Circle), some accessibility limitations may be beyond our direct control.

9. Landbot Status (https://status.landbot.io/)

  • Some of the gray text used in status updates and captions has low contrast, which can be difficult to read for users with low vision.
  • Since this page is hosted through a third‑party service (Atlassian Statuspage), we currently do not have the ability to modify its design or fix these specific accessibility issues.

Our Roadmap

1. Accessibility by Design: We are embedding accessibility best practices into all future developments by default, ensuring that new website sections align with WCAG guidelines from the beginning.

2. Documentation and Planning: To organize and prioritize fixes, we are documenting the effort required to address accessibility issues. A detailed self-assessment has been prepared in line with Annex VI of the EU Accessibility Act, providing a clear roadmap for improvements.

3. Task Prioritization: Critical accessibility issues in our web chatbots will be addressed first. Once these are resolved, we will tackle less critical issues to further enhance the user experience.

4. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to conducting periodic accessibility audits to ensure ongoing compliance and prevent the introduction of new barriers.
