Set Up and Launch a WhatsApp Campaign Video Guide
Learn how to set up a WhatsApp campaign with Landbot!
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of setting up and launching a WhatsApp campaign using Landbot, an advanced tool perfect for automating lead generation and optimizing lead conversion. This video will show you how to leverage chatbots for sales and automate your sales follow-up effectively.
First, get your audience and message template approved by WhatsApp. After approval, you can create your campaign within the WhatsApp Business section of the app. Select your channel, go to Campaigns, and click on "new campaign." Give it a name, choose your target audience, and select the approved message template, making sure to include variables if needed.
To enhance your campaign, integrate a chatbot for automated interactions. This setup allows you to utilize automated sales chatbots, streamline lead generation in digital marketing, and apply lead generation optimization techniques. Custom fields can also be added to your audience for better lead generation and future filtering.
Scheduling your campaign is simple; you can send it immediately or at a specific date and time. Once you click "trigger campaign," your messages will be dispatched.
Monitor your campaign's performance in the campaigns section, where you can track received and replied messages. For further insights into automated chatbots and technical details, refer to our API documentation or contact our technical support team.
If you want to engage personally with subscribers post-campaign, learn about human takeover blocks in our academy's video tutorial.

Once we have an audience and a message template approved by WhatsApp. We are free to set up and launch a WhatsApp Campaign.
For that, Inside the app, in your WhatsApp Business section, select your channel and go to Campaigns. Click on “new campaign”.
Give a name to your new campaign, and select an audience you’ve already created.
Then select the message template that has already been approved by WhatsApp. If the template has parameters, remember to add the corresponding Variable or plain text value here.
Now, This is optional, but we are able to link a chatbot to this campaign. So when the user replies to the campaign, the chatbot automatically starts.
And, you can also add custom fields to the audience you are sending the campaign, if you want to later filter in the contacts section.
And Finally, we need to schedule the campaign, either we can send the campaign immediately or set a custom date and time.
Once selected, click on “trigger campaign”. And that’s it!
Once the campaign is sent, we can track its performance by clicking on it in the campaigns section. We can see how many received and replied to your campaign.
Now, Keep in mind that we can automate the sending of message templates based on a particular event by connecting API’s. You can find more technical information in our API documentation at api.landbot.io or you can contact our technical support team for help.
Also, there might be some campaigns in which you intend to personally chat with your subscribers after the message template is sent, either to gather feedback or to sell your product. We can do that by having a human takeover block inside the linked bot of the campaign.
So, inside the linked chatbot, add the human takeover block and select your preferred agents. When users go through the block, an agent from your team will be able to chat with them. You can do that In the inbox section, where you will always be able to find all your account conversations. If you are interested in the human takeover block, I recommend you watch the full video tutorial you can find in the builder blocks section in our academy.
And that's how we set up and launch a WhatsApp campaign using Landbot.
